Earth Contemplation Under the Ancient Oaks

Our Deep Green Faith & Practice Team invites you to join an interfaith nature meditation hosted by the Crescent City Gaian Guild.

We will meet in City Park at 1:00pm Sunday afternoon for about an hour and a half. We’ll be in the area between the Pizzati Gate (at Alexander Street) and the Butler/Owen memorial fountain. That’s right across City Park Avenue from Ralph’s on the Park. [Map ~ Photo] Exact location may vary depending on other groups that may be using the park. You can identify our group as we’ll have a little sign that says GAIA. All welcome, even the idly curious. Bring a chair or blanket for sitting. We will stay at a safe distance, at least six feet apart.

Program:

  1. Opening reflection
  2. Contemplative activity
  3. Conversation

Note: in the event of rain, we may take refuge in the nearby shelter.  In the event of extreme weather we urge you to exercise good judgment and be safe. Of course, if it’s not raining there may be blazing heat; please dress and sunscreen and hydrate accordingly.
