Spring in the Swamp

The Greater New Orleans Interfaith Climate Coalition will be delighted to participateĀ  atĀ Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve Spring in the Swamp event. The GNOICC educational display has encouraging ideas and actions that can be taken for a more sustainable planet. We plan to have a hands-on activity for participants to make simple cordage from natural materials. Participants can watch and participate in spinning of natural fibers. Depending on which coalition members participate there may also be giveaways of various types and games for children and families to bring attention to sustainable practices.
