Join Crescent City Gaian Guild and Greater New Orleans Interfaith Climate Coalition for a fall equinox celebration. We’ll welcome the harvest season and step into the dark half of the year together. This gathering will feature a brief science demo explaining the celestial mechanics of this seasonal moment. We’ll also have a breath-based meditation, a song, and a communal potluck feast.

Things to do/bring:

  • Wear something fiery for autumn: dark reds, yellows, oranges, browns, or muted greens.
  • Bring a potluck dish. This doesn’t have to be elaborate. Just a little food to share.
  • Please bring your own plate, cup, and utensil – preferably no single-use plastic.
  • Bring your own chair, blanket, or cushion.

Kids and families are welcome! All welcome, even the idly curious. Any questions? Let us know. We look forward to seeing you!

Note: in the event of a sprinkle, we may take refuge in the nearby shelter. Knowing our climate, we may well experience excessive heat. Please stay hydrated and take all appropriate cautions.

We’ll meet in City Park, in the areas between the Pizzati Gate (at Alexander Street) and the Butler/Owen memorial fountain. That’s right across City Park Avenue from Ralph’s on the Park. We’ll have a little sign that says GAIA.
