Team (or subcommittee) meetings are small, focused, and held as needed, depending on the coalition’s priorities. Teams are authorized by and report back to the Board and General Assembly.  As we are powered by volunteers, we enthusiastically welcome participation from all coalition members. If you’d like to get involved or form a new team, please get in touch.

Research, Education, and Policy (REAP) Team

The GNOICC Research, Evaluation and Policy Team seeks to advance the teaching of the sacred texts that there is an abundance in creation if creation is properly cared for and the abundance is justly distributed. To fulfill this mission, the REAP Team works in unison with an array of environmental justice (EJ) partners:

  • conduct research to find those policies which lead to the best outcomes of environmental and distributive justice and creation care
  • educate GNOICC and the broader Louisiana community as to those most effective policies
  • advocate for those policies in public forums including those of the City and Parish of New Orleans, the State of Louisiana and the United States
