According to New Orleans CityBusiness, the state of Louisiana is suing the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States. That’s because the SEC just put a rule in effect requiring corporations to disclose their climate risks. Louisiana joins with Mississippi and Texas to ask for a the federals courts to stop this rule. Our new Attorney General says it’s unconstitutional and bad for business. The SEC Chair says it’s totes legit and most companies already disclose this stuff anyhow. What do you think?
