We dodge the bullet again! Hurricane Fiona is battering Puerto Rico and the island has no power.
Tropical Storm Fiona intensified into a hurricane on Sunday as it battered Puerto Rico. A hurricane warning was in effect Sunday for the entire U.S. territory, including Vieques and Culebra, and has been expanded to include the eastern Dominican Republic as well. As of Sunday afternoon, tropical storm warnings covered the U.S. Virgin Islands and the north coast of the Dominican Republic west to Puerto Plata, regions that are also under a hurricane watch to account for Fiona’s possible intensification.
