On July 15th, The Alliance for Affordable Energy Policy Director Jesse George joined the GNOICC REAP team meeting to discuss the impacts of the proposed initiative to sell Entergy to a venture capital company on New Orleanians and some of the reasons advocates are concerned about the proposition to create a new utility whose sole business would be selling fossil gas. George touched on some of how this proposition works against the City of New Orleans’s climate and clean energy goals. He explained why he and other Energy Future New Orleans advocates are urging City Council members to oppose this sale.  George encouraged GNOICC members to contact their council members to oppose this sale.
