The Institute runs January 10–June 15, 2027, and is a five-month, hands-on organizing experience focused on faith, relationships, leadership development, and building the skills to move people into action.
So much leadership already exists in Louisiana — in our churches, mosques, temples, congregations, neighborhoods, environmental justice organizations, mutual aid networks, and community groups. We’re living with the consequences of so many decisions made around us, but we also have a deep tradition of organizing, resistance, and collective care.
This Institute can serve to strengthen our own Louisiana organizing ecosystem — and give a few more people the relationships, skills, and support to step into leadership.
Note well: you do not need to be clergy or a professional organizer. If you have relationships in your community, care deeply about climate justice, and want to get better at bringing people together,it’s worth looking at.
Applications are open now, with early decisions by October 30.
