We’re proud to share meaningful milestones from our ongoing Green Leaf Communities Initiative. This faith-rooted environmental initiative is gaining real traction across our region.
Growing our partnership network, we have formalized partnerships through signed MOUs with faith communities committed to climate action, including First Unitarian Universalist Church, Westbank United Seventh Day Adventist Church, Masjid Abu Bakr Al Siddique, and others. These agreements lay the foundation for collaborative, community-driven environmental work.
Climate Action Teams (CATs) are meeting regularly — bringing together dedicated community members to evaluate local environmental practices, pinpoint areas of concern, and design impactful projects that reduce climate harm at the neighborhood level.
In a most recent project, we celebrated the groundbreaking of a community garden at Westbank United Seventh Day Adventist Church, a tangible, living example of what our communities can build when they act together for the planet.
